Quang Tri expands to welcome international visitors with E-Visa at 7 border gates

Seven border gates that apply E-visa include Dong Hoi Airport, Lao Bao International Border Gate, La Lay International Border Gate, Cha Lo International Border Gate, Gianh Port, Hon La Port and Cua Viet Port.

On December 2, the Government issued Resolution No. 389/NQ-CP on allowing foreigners to enter and exit the country with E-Visa electronic visas at 41 international border gates, including 4 air border gates, 11 land border gates and 26 port border gates.

Quang Tri has 3 port border gates: Gianh Port, Hon La Port and Cua Viet Port, bringing the total number of E-Visa approved border gates in the province to 7.

Previously, Quang Tri had 4 border gates applying E-visa from August 2023 including Dong Hoi Airport, Lao Bao International Border Gate, La Lay International Border Gate and Cha Lo International Border Gate.

So far, Quang Tri has 7 border gates applying E-Visa with all roads, sea and air routes, facing a great opportunity to expand the market to attract international tourists , especially the cruise tourism segment and high-spending customers.

Quang Tri province has a coastline of nearly 200km, possessing rich tourism resources and many unique tourism products such as eco-tourism, nature tourism, cultural and historical tourism, agricultural tourism, and high-end sports tourism. This place is also considered an attractive destination for cruise tourists.

Quang Tri Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that in the 11 months of 2025, the number of tourists coming to experience and relax in the province is estimated to reach nearly 9.6 million (up nearly 17% over the same period). Of which, domestic visitors are estimated to reach more than 9.1 million, international visitors are 450,000.

Total revenue from tourists is estimated at VND11,040 billion, up 31.7% over the same period. Quang Tri aims to welcome more than 15 million visitors by 2030./.
