Entering the 33rd SEA Games, Hoang Khoi competed as the youngest athlete in the men's singles event. Despite this, the young bowling athlete did not face many difficulties during the competition. Hoang Khoi maintained a consistent performance throughout the rounds, overcoming many experienced opponents from countries with developed bowling movements in the region.
The men's singles final saw a dominant performance from Tran Hoang Khoi. The young Vietnamese bowler completely controlled the match against the home representative from Thailand, Napat. Khoi consistently created an advantage with 9 strikes and 2 runs of 9+1, thus closing out the final with a convincing victory with a score of 235-210.
This achievement is considered a brilliant personal milestone not only for Hoang Khoi himself but also for Vietnamese bowling at the 33rd SEA Games. Notably, Tran Hoang Khoi was born in 2009, is only 16 years old, and is currently a 11th-grade student.
According to experts, Hoang Khoi possesses relatively complete technique for his age, good ball control, and maintains focus during crucial shots.
With his achievements at the SEA Games 33 and other international competitions, Tran Hoang Khoi is considered a promising talent for Vietnamese bowling in the coming period, if he continues to receive investment and suitable opportunities to compete.
