Strengthening order and traffic safety during the April 30 holiday and summer tourist peak

Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches and units to step up propaganda and mobilize people to comply with legal regulations on traffic order and safety; have solutions to strictly control and plan to organize safe and smooth traffic, closely linked with guidance and support for people in traveling; make efforts to prevent traffic accidents and traffic jams in the area.

The provincial police are responsible for directing the traffic police and local police to arrange sufficient forces, vehicles, and technical equipment to serve the patrolling and control work, handle violations of traffic order and safety, and strictly handle violations of traffic order and safety, especially those with high risk of leading to traffic accidents; at the same time, strengthen inspection of technical safety conditions of vehicles, resolutely strictly handle and suspend operations of unsafe road and waterway vehicles, vehicles using vehicles that are past their expiration date or inspection period; and drivers without driving licenses or professional certificates as prescribed.

The authorities proactively develop and deploy plans to organize and regulate traffic appropriately, ensuring forces on duty on key traffic routes, especially gateways to urban centers, festival areas, and tourist attractions; ensuring people and vehicles on duty for rescue and disaster relief, and coordinating with other authorities to promptly resolve situations affecting order and traffic safety.

Proactively prevent, stop and strictly handle acts of gathering to disturb public order and illegal racing; have plans to regulate and divide traffic reasonably, guide safe and smooth traffic, especially on routes and areas where traffic volume is forecast to increase during the April 30-May 1 holiday, summer vacation and tourist season in 2025.

The Provincial People's Committee also requested the Department of Construction to direct departments, offices, and units to inspect, review, and edit and supplement the system of traffic signs and signals; prioritize the repair and maintenance of traffic infrastructure on key routes; take measures to ensure traffic safety at locations with potential risks of traffic accidents, and strengthen coordination in inspection to ensure safety of roadsides, sidewalks, and traffic safety corridors.

The Department of Construction is also responsible for tightening quality management of passenger transport vehicles, having appropriate passenger transport plans; strengthening inspection and strictly handling violations of traffic safety, resolutely suspending the operation of waterway passenger transport vehicles that violate safety conditions; absolutely prohibiting individuals and groups from using fishing vessels to transport tourists by waterway during the April 30 - May 1 holiday and the peak summer tourist season in 2025.
