According to the dispatch, currently at the beginning of the epidemic season, the number of cases tends to increase the most each year from May to November, so proactively implementing preventive measures before the epidemic season is very important. The Ministry of Health requests the People's Committees of provinces and cities to pay attention to directing the issuance of plans and organizing activities in response to the 15th ASEAN Dengue Prevention Day (June 15, 2025); proactively communicating about dengue prevention before the epidemic season and implementing practical activities, promoting the role of the government, departments, branches, organizations and people to actively participate in dengue prevention and control.

The People's Committees of provinces and cities assign specific responsibilities to authorities at all levels to direct and mobilize departments, branches, and socio -political organizations to coordinate with the health sector to implement the campaign to eradicate mosquito larvae, ensuring that all households in epidemic and at-risk areas must have their water tanks, containers, items, waste, and mosquito breeding grounds inspected and monitored to carry out measures to eradicate mosquito larvae. The Department of Health closely monitors the thorough handling of dengue outbreaks in the locality; coordinates with the Department of Education and Training to mobilize students to participate in cleaning and eliminating mosquito larvae in residential areas and schools; directs medical examination and treatment facilities to organize the admission and treatment of patients well, minimizing deaths due to dengue fever...

According to the Phu Yen Provincial Center for Disease Control, as of week 15/2025 (April 13), the whole province recorded 323 cases of dengue fever, a decrease of 274 cases compared to the same period in 2024; recorded 9 dengue fever outbreaks, a decrease of 13 outbreaks compared to the same period. The outbreaks were handled promptly, in accordance with regulations. The dengue fever epidemic situation is temporarily stable in localities in the province.
