Tanzania wants to learn from Vietnam's experience in renewing economic growth model

On the afternoon of May 15, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, Comrade Truong Thi Mai, Politburo member, Permanent member of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Committee's Organization Commission, chaired talks between the delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the delegation of the ruling Revolutionary Party (CCM) in Tanzania led by Mr. Abdulrahman Omar Kinana, Politburo member, Vice Chairman of the CCM.

Respectfully conveying the greetings of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to the President of the CCM Party and President of Tanzania, comrade Truong Thi Mai thanked the good feelings that the CCM Party and the State of Tanzania have given to the Party, State and people of Vietnam.

Comrade Truong Thi Mai emphasized that Vietnam always pays close attention to the situation in Tanzania; is pleased to witness the achievements that Tanzania has made under the leadership of the CCM Party in economic development, poverty reduction, and has made many contributions to building a peaceful, stable and developed East Africa region.

Expressing his joy in visiting the heroic country of Vietnam for the first time, Vice President of the CCM Party Abdulrahman Omar Kinana admired and congratulated the great and historic achievements that Vietnam has achieved over 35 years of Renovation in economic development, poverty reduction, improving people's lives, and being an active and responsible member of the international community.

The Vice President of the Communist Party of Vietnam believes that the Vietnamese people, under the wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, will gain more victories in the coming time.

The CCM Party and the State of Tanzania admire and wish to learn from Vietnam's experience in Party building, economic growth model innovation, and agricultural and rural development; and highly appreciate the contributions of Halotel Company, a telecommunications joint venture invested by Viettel Group in Tanzania, to the socio-economic development of the neighboring country.

In a friendly atmosphere, the two sides also exchanged views on the world and regional situations, the situation of each party and each country; agreed to further strengthen relations between the two parties, creating a solid political foundation to promote bilateral relations.

The leaders of the two parties agreed to promote the exchange of theories and practices in national leadership; enhance cooperation in training and fostering officials; facilitate trade and investment activities; encourage cultural cooperation and people-to-people exchanges, especially exchanges between the young generation and women; closely coordinate in international forums and multilateral mechanisms, for the benefit of each party and each country, for peace, stability, cooperation and development.
