Give a boost to local industry

To create momentum for local industrial development, the province has focused on investing and establishing many industrial clusters with synchronous and modern infrastructure. In the planning and investment of infrastructure of industrial parks, many new industrial parks have been formed and initially promoted the effectiveness of attracting investment. In particular, the typical one is Son Cam 1 Industrial Park invested by TNG Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company.

Officially put into operation since 2020, up to now, Son Cam 1 Industrial Park has attracted 13 secondary investment projects, with an occupancy rate of over 45%; total leased land area of over 58 hectares, total registered investment capital of over 8,726 billion VND. Investment projects here operate in the following fields: Textile and garment supporting industry, precision mechanics, electronic components manufacturing, packaging, construction materials, pharmaceuticals, mineral processing...

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Trang, Director of Cosmic Light Company Limited (in Son Cam 1 Industrial Park), said: With the advantage of a favorable location, synchronous and modern infrastructure investment, we have chosen this industrial park to invest in building a printing service factory and nail polish chemical production. After more than half a year of implementation, the printing service factory has been put into operation with an average capacity of 50,000 products/month, creating jobs for nearly 30 workers, with an average income of 8 million VND/person/month. Meanwhile, the nail polish chemical production factory (with a design capacity of 120 tons/year) is being accelerated in construction progress, striving to complete and put into operation in June 2025.

In administrative procedure reform, the province has simplified and digitized many administrative procedures in the fields of: Business registration, construction licensing, tax, land, environment...

Mr. Pham Van Quang, Chairman of the Thai Nguyen City Business Association, commented: Currently, all activities such as tax declaration, payment and refund are carried out electronically, contributing to creating maximum convenience for businesses. In addition, many administrative procedures have been significantly improved, such as shortening the time for business registration from 3 days to 2 days, the time for appraising documents to approve investment projects from 35 days to 10 days, the time for granting construction permits from 75 days to 60 days...

Regarding business support policies, the province has implemented the Project “Supporting small and medium enterprises to improve competitiveness in the period 2021-2025” and initially brought about clear results. Notably, it has supported business households to transform into enterprises, expand their scale of operations and improve their competitiveness.

Specific support policies include: Free consultation and guidance on business registration procedures; exemption of first-time registration fees and registration content announcement; exemption of business license fees for the first 3 years; support for building initial accounting and tax systems... Thanks to that, many business households have boldly transformed into enterprises, creating a clear change in the local business community.

In addition to the above policies, provincial business associations also play an important role in accompanying and supporting member businesses. The form of association of “buying from each other, selling to each other” has become a practical activity, bringing mutual benefits and strengthening the spirit of cooperation in the business community.

Mr. Pham Thai Son, Director of CNT Group Joint Stock Company (Thai Nguyen City), shared: As a long-time member of the Thai Nguyen City Business Association, we clearly feel the interest, regular connection and initiative of member businesses, especially in supporting each other in consuming products. Currently, about 50% of CNT Group Joint Stock Company's revenue - equivalent to over 150 billion VND/year - comes from customers who are members of the City Business Association.

Thanks to the synchronous implementation of the above solutions, local industry has achieved many encouraging results, contributing positively to the overall socio -economic development of the province. In 2024 alone, the industrial production value in the province reached 1.03 million billion VND, an increase of 8% over the previous year. Of which, the local industrial production value reached over 45 trillion VND, an increase of 7%.

In the coming time, the province will continue to focus on completing the infrastructure of industrial zones and clusters, improving the quality of administrative reform, expanding business support policies in a flexible, practical and appropriate manner to meet practical needs. The goal is to build a transparent and dynamic investment environment, thereby attracting more investors, contributing to the sustainable development of local industry, and increasingly contributing to the socio-economic growth of the province.
