The incident occurred during the final stage of the Iraqi National Cycling Championship, which brought together more than 20 cycling clubs representing the capital Baghdad and other provinces.

In the video shared by Barlaman Today, the rider has already left his rivals a safe distance behind and is quickly approaching the finish line. When he realizes the finish line is very close, he sits up straight, raises his arms and starts to celebrate arrogantly.

However, the joy did not last long. Within seconds, the racer lost his balance and fell flat on the track, while the racers behind were rushing at high speed.

The crash split the rider's bike in two and other competitors had to swerve to avoid him on the road. Fortunately, the rider did not appear to be seriously injured.

This premature celebration prevented him from finishing first. If he had been more humble and calm, he would have definitely taken the lead.

According to a statement from the Iraqi Cycling Federation, Al-Saniya Club won the overall junior individual race, covering a distance of 45km, followed by Al-Nidhal Club and third place went to Erbil Club. However, the most notable highlight of the race was the chaotic ending.
