Tay Ninh: Arrested a subject transporting 2.3kg of drugs

On January 13, the Tay Ninh Provincial Border Guard coordinated with the forces of the Drug and Crime Prevention Department (Border Guard) and the Tay Ninh Provincial Police to successfully destroy and arrest Hoang Trung Hieu (born in 1991, residing in Hamlet 2, Tan Phong Commune, Gia Rai Town, Bac Lieu Province) with evidence of 2.3 kg of drugs.

At 6:15 p.m. on January 12, at the Ta Peng border area (in Thuan Tay hamlet, Loi Thuan commune, Ben Cau district, Tay Ninh province), the forces caught Hoang Trung Hieu red-handed while transporting 2kg of crystal meth and 200g of high-grade powdered drugs.

At the authorities, Hieu confessed that on January 10, 2024, he illegally left the country to Cambodia to transport drugs from Cambodia to Vietnam. After receiving the drugs, at 6 p.m. the same day, he hired a motorbike taxi to take him to the border to find a way to illegally enter Vietnam, but was arrested by Vietnamese authorities as soon as he crossed the border.

Immediately after the incident, Colonel Le Van Vy - Commander of Tay Ninh Provincial Border Guard came to commend the forces participating in solving the case; at the same time, directed the units to continue to coordinate closely in the investigation and prosecution to clarify this network as soon as possible.
