Thai Nguyen: Completing the grassroots and upper-level trade union congresses

As of August 4, 100% of grassroots and upper-level trade unions in the province had successfully organized congresses for the 2023-2028 term on schedule.

Delegates voted to elect the new Executive Committee at the 9th Phu Luong District Trade Union Congress, term 2023-2028.

According to the assessment, the organization of grassroots and upper-level trade union congresses received attention and facilitation from the Party Committee, the government, employers, and close direction from upper-level trade unions; and the consensus and support of all levels of trade unions, union members, and workers. The congresses were carefully prepared, implemented in accordance with regulations and procedures, closely following the requirements and directions of higher levels.

Personnel work is carefully prepared. The newly elected executive committee has full qualities, capacity, and qualifications, ensuring inheritance, development, and meeting the requirements of the new situation.

The successful organization of the grassroots and upper-level trade union congresses is an important premise towards the 17th Thai Nguyen Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2023-2028, scheduled to take place in early October 2023.

Currently, the total number of units under the Provincial Federation of Labor is 29. Of which, there are 9 district and city labor federations; 7 industry unions and 13 affiliated grassroots unions. Along with that, the whole province has 1,409 grassroots unions, with over 153,000 union members.
