Commune health workers provided first aid to comrade Lo Van Hien.

Working group No. 4 includes 3 comrades: Lieutenant Colonel Lo Van Hien, Armed Team Leader; Major Lang Van Dinh, Head of Ho Border Control Station; Major Ha Van Chien, staff of Ho Border Control Station, along with 5 comrades from the Police and the Commune Military Command to support the evacuation of households in Ho village at high risk of landslides and flash floods.

At 11:45 a.m. the same day, while assisting in the evacuation of people and property for Mr. Vi Van Su's family in Ho village, Hien Kiet commune, Lieutenant Colonel Lo Van Hien, an officer of Hien Kiet Border Guard Station and Lieutenant Le Ngoc Vu, Hien Kiet Commune Police, suddenly a large amount of soil and rocks on the positive slope behind the house collapsed, causing the house to collapse. The roof and crossbeams fell on comrades Hien and Vu. It took the local forces 30 minutes of digging to get the two comrades out of the accident site.

Authorities and people urgently dug through soil and rocks to search for the two victims.

Hien Kiet Border Guard Station and functional forces organized initial first aid and took the injured comrades to the Commune Health Station for emergency treatment. Comrade Vu suffered soft tissue injuries and after first aid his health was stable; Comrade Hien suffered chest injuries, soft tissue injuries to the thighs, the instep of the left foot and many scratches on his body.

Immediately afterwards, the unit took comrade Lo Van Hien to Ngoc Lac Regional General Hospital for treatment.

Colonel Hoang Van Hung, Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard Command, visited and encouraged Lieutenant Colonel Lo Van Hien.

On the afternoon of August 26, immediately after receiving the report from Hien Kiet Border Guard Station, Colonel Hoang Van Hung, Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard Command, directly went to Ngoc Lac Regional General Hospital to visit and encourage Lieutenant Colonel Lo Van Hien.
