Establishment of 8 grassroots unions in industrial parks and economic zones

The Global Material Handling Co., Ltd. Union was established with 348 members, the eighth union in industrial parks and economic zones established this year.

Comrade Nguyen Van Quyet, Permanent Vice President of the City Labor Federation, presented the decision to establish the Trade Union of Global Material Handling Company.

The Hai Phong City Labor Federation has just announced the decisions to admit new members and establish the grassroots union of Global Material Handling Company Limited (Nam Dinh Vu II Industrial Park - DeepC 2A).

The Global Material Handling Company Limited's grassroots union is assigned to the Industrial Park Union Board for monitoring and management. The company's Union Executive Board consists of 5 members. 348 employees of the enterprise are recognized as union members.

Global Material Handling Co., Ltd. has 70% Chinese investment capital and the rest Japanese investment capital, specializing in manufacturing and processing metal products such as steel mesh, shelves, carts, transport racks, transport packaging, steel cages... The company has officially operated stably since March 2025, currently has 515 employees.

Representatives of the City Labor Federation listened to business representatives discuss the production and business situation of the unit.

With the guidance and support from the Industrial Park Trade Union Committee, at the end of July 2025, the Mobilization Committee organized many propaganda sessions, according to each department and production workshop so that workers could clearly understand the rights and obligations of union members, as well as the role of the Trade Union in the enterprise. As a result, 100% of the workers at that time (348 people) were propagandized and applied to join the union.

Thus, from the beginning of 2025 up to now, 8 grassroots trade unions have been established in industrial parks and economic zones in Hai Phong city.

Currently, Nam Dinh Vu II - DeepC 2A Industrial Park has 10 grassroots unions.
