On October 22-23, at the Cat Tien Commune Health Station, citizens were checked for physical fitness, measured health indicators and given a preliminary examination according to regulations. The Military Service Council, Military Command, Commune Police and other departments, branches and organizations closely coordinated in organizing and supervising, ensuring the process took place seriously and objectively.

As a result, 193 citizens participated in the preliminary selection, 119 people were eligible to participate in the medical examination at Cat Tien Regional Medical Center, with no absentees. Notably, 22 citizens wrote volunteer applications; among them, there were 2 young party members, Vu Hong Quan and Ly Van Tinh, both from Ninh Hau village - typical examples demonstrating the pioneering spirit, ready to go to defend the Fatherland.
