On the morning of February 2 (ie December 23, Quy Mao year), Lang Son City People's Committee coordinated with the Provincial Buddhist Sangha Executive Committee to organize the Carp Release Ceremony at the Program "Implementing environmental protection work on Ky Cung River" on the occasion of Ong Cong, Ong Tao Festival and launching a general environmental cleaning campaign on the occasion of the Giap Thin Lunar New Year at Thanh Pagoda.

During the program, people and students cleaned up the streets where they lived, picked up trash along the banks of the Ky Cung River; delegates and a large number of people released fish under the guidance of monks, Buddhists and youth union members of Lang Son city.

In addition, to ensure environmental sanitation, the Organizing Committee has arranged over 20 trash bins along the Ky Cung River to keep the city environment green - clean - beautiful; arranged youth union members and police to guide people to release fish according to regulations and ensure security, order and traffic safety during the Ong Cong and Ong Tao Festival.
