On July 27, information from the Department of Education and Training of Phu Tho province said that the Department's working delegation worked with the People's Committee of Thung Nai commune to grasp the educational situation after the merger, listen to recommendations and propose solutions to overcome difficulties before the 2025-2026 school year.
According to the report, Thung Nai commune was established on the basis of merging 3 communes: Bac Phong, Thung Nai and Binh Thanh; natural area of 86.34 km2, population of more than 10,600 people, 5 ethnic groups living together, of which Muong ethnic group accounts for 69.8%.
In the 2025-2026 school year, Thung Nai commune has 7 schools including: 3 kindergartens, 3 primary & secondary schools, 1 ethnic boarding school, with a total of 1,950 students; 185 cadres, teachers and staff.
Currently, 100% of classrooms have been solidified, schools meet national standards level 1; facilities and basic equipment meet the requirements for teaching 2 sessions/day according to the 2018 General Education Program.
However, schools in Thung Nai commune still have difficulties in terms of personnel such as a lack of primary school teachers and some secondary school subjects; 2 schools lack management staff.
Besides, teaching equipment for grades 3, 4, 5, 8, and 9 have not been newly provided, affecting the implementation of the new program.
At the meeting, representatives of schools and the People's Committee of Thung Nai commune proposed that the Department of Education and Training of Phu Tho province and related agencies advise the Provincial People's Committee to supplement the missing management staff and teachers to ensure sufficient quantity and quality; supplement synchronous teaching equipment...

At the meeting, Mr. Trinh The Truyen - Director of the Department of Education and Training of Phu Tho province acknowledged the locality's efforts in arranging the education system after the merger; at the same time, oriented to improve the quality of the team, increase the rate of qualified teachers, evaluate the quality of education at all levels to have appropriate training plans.
Regarding the surplus and shortage of teachers, the Department will study and consider solutions in the coming time.
