Up to this point, many universities have announced their plans for regular university enrollment in 2024. Among them, one of the publicly available information that many people are interested in is related to finance.

According to the 2024 enrollment plan, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry announced that the total revenue of the school in 2023 is more than 1,010 billion VND. The total cost of training a student at the school is 30.5 million VND/year.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University) also announced a legal source of revenue of over VND 1,003 billion in its third public report for the 2023-2024 school year.

Previously, in 2022, statistics showed that only 9 universities nationwide had revenue of thousands of billions of VND. Specifically, including: National Economics University with 1,061 billion VND, Hanoi University of Science and Technology 1,070 billion VND,FPT University 1,292 billion VND, Van Lang University 1,758 billion VND, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics 1,447 billion VND, Nguyen Tat Thanh University 1,162 billion VND, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology 1,145 billion VND, Ton Duc Thang University 1,067 billion VND and Can Tho University 1,119 billion VND.

Thus, compared to the list of schools that appeared last year, there are a number of new public universities in the top universities with revenue of thousands of billions of VND.

Notably, the current revenue of universities mainly comes from tuition fees. According to financial disclosure information from Ton Duc Thang University, total revenue in 2022 is more than 1,067 billion VND, of which more than 90% is from tuition fees with more than 963 billion VND. Nguyen Tat Thanh University has total revenue for the 2022-2023 school year of more than 1,162 billion VND, of which more than 98% is from tuition fees with more than 1,141 billion VND...

University revenue continues to increase

Comparing the data published by universities in recent years, it can be seen that the total revenue of the schools continues to increase every year.

For example, according to the 2024 enrollment plan of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (UEH), the University announced that the total legal revenue in 2023 is more than 1,679 billion VND, the cost of training a student in 2023 is 32.5 million VND/year. Compared to the previous year, this revenue increased by more than 200 billion VND.

Similarly, the revenue of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry also increased by more than 167 billion VND compared to 2022. The total revenue in 2023 of the National Economics University increased from 1,061 billion VND in 2022 to more than 1,186 billion VND in 2023...

Currently, many universities have not officially announced their 2024 enrollment plans. Some schools have announced their plans but have not provided information on their legal revenue sources for 2023. However, according to data published in 2023, the total revenue in 2022 for many schools is also approximately a thousand billion VND, such as: Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy reached 985 billion VND, Hoa Sen University's revenue in 2022 was over 918 billion VND...
