The device consists of two parts: Smart speaker with integrated flashing LED light and wireless controller using NRF 2.4GHz technology, ensuring a control range of 200-300m. The controller allows selecting sound mode, adjusting light intensity, creating synchronous effects between speakers and lights, simulating explosions, flashing lights, smoke of firepower such as artillery, machine guns, mortars... The devices can be installed simultaneously to build diverse training scenarios, close to real combat.

Through testing and application at Battalion 6, the initiative helped reduce the cost of each training session, increase the visuality and liveliness, and at the same time train the soldiers' ability to react in hypothetical situations. Thanks to its obvious effectiveness, Major Pham Viet Dung's initiative was replicated by Regiment 8 and then deployed by Division 395 throughout the unit.

Lieutenant Colonel Tran Van Toan, Deputy Chief of Staff of Regiment 8, said: “The equipment researched and manufactured by Major Pham Viet Dung overcomes the difficulties in arranging sound and light on the training ground; has reasonable cost, high applicability, few failures, and is suitable for the unit's training conditions. The initiative not only contributes to improving the quality of training but also demonstrates the creative and proactive spirit of officers and soldiers in the emulation movement "Promoting initiatives, improving training models and tools" in Division 395".
