Poultry meat and eggs from Vietnam are licensed to be imported into Singapore.

(GLO)- The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has approved the import of some poultry meat and egg products originating from Vietnam into the country.

Specifically, according to the Vietnam Trade Office in Singapore, products approved for import include heat-processed poultry meat of CPV Food Co Ltd and MeatDeli HN Company Ltd; poultry eggs and meat (excluding beef) canned/sterilized at high temperature and high pressure according to food safety standards of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine ( Ministry of Agriculture and Environment ).

This is the result that Vietnam has achieved after many times domestic ministries, branches and enterprises closely coordinated with SFA to conduct rigorous surveys, inspections and assessments.

According to experts, being licensed to import some poultry meat and egg products to the Singapore market (a country that imports more than 90% of consumed food and is the second largest transit center in the world ) will bring a boost to Vietnam's livestock product export turnover in the coming time. At the same time, it is also a stepping stone for Vietnam's livestock products to expand the supply chain to other countries in the world.

In 2024, Vietnam's livestock product export turnover will reach more than 533 million USD (up 6.5% compared to 2023).
