The time to converge advantages and strengths to bring the country into a new era

The entire Party and the entire nation are in the midst of a period of extensive political activities: Party Congresses at all levels leading up to the 14th National Party Congress.

Our country has been unified for 50 years, through 40 years of renovation and halfway through implementing the 10-year Socio -Economic Development Strategy 2021-2030. The cause of building the country and defending the socialist Fatherland has achieved great achievements of historical significance, the theory of socialism and the path to socialism has been clearly shaped, and has been proven correct by practice.

The great achievements after 50 years of national reunification and 40 years of renovation are the solid foundation and conditions for Vietnam to realize its strategic vision, enter a new era, an era of national growth, build a peaceful, independent, democratic, prosperous, civilized, happy Vietnam, and steadily move towards socialism.

The country's position after 50 years of unification, from a poor and backward country to a country with an economy that is considered a bright spot in the world; stable politics and society, attractive investment environment, a friend, a reliable partner, an active and responsible member of the international community. Vietnam's foundation, potential, position and international prestige are increasingly enhanced. "Our country has never had such foundation, potential, position and international prestige as today".

National comprehensive strength is increasingly consolidated.

General Secretary To Lam affirmed: “The great achievements after 40 years of renovation under the leadership of the Party have helped Vietnam accumulate position and strength for breakthrough development in the next period. From a poor, backward, low-level, besieged and embargoed country, Vietnam has become a developing country with average income, deeply integrated into world politics, the global economy, human civilization, taking on many important international responsibilities, promoting an active and responsible role in many important multilateral organizations and forums. Independence, sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity are maintained; national and ethnic interests are guaranteed."

The national comprehensive strength is increasingly consolidated and strengthened: national independence is always associated with socialism. The comprehensive strength for national development is enhanced, defeating all plots and sabotage tricks of hostile forces, contributing significantly to the success of the process of nation building, defending the Fatherland, and enhancing the position and prestige of Vietnam in the international arena.

The fields of culture, society, education and training, science and technology, health care... have all had remarkable developments. Cultural, social and human development has made much progress. The national value system, cultural value system, family value system and Vietnamese human standards have been shaped.

Foreign relations have been expanded, international integration has become increasingly effective. Vietnam has clearly demonstrated its role as a friend, a reliable partner, and a responsible member of the international community... Vietnam's position and prestige in the international arena have been increasingly affirmed and enhanced.

Independence, sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity are maintained; national and ethnic interests are guaranteed. From a country not yet on the world map, heavily devastated by war, Vietnam has risen to become a symbol of peace, stability, hospitality, and a destination for international investors and tourists.

Taking the happiness and prosperity of the people as the goal to strive for, Vietnam is considered by the United Nations and international friends as a success story, a bright spot in poverty reduction, constantly improving the material and spiritual life of the people.

The renovation initiated and led by the Party is a historic choice, a great creative undertaking of historical stature, of great significance, in accordance with Vietnamese reality, and the general development laws and trends of the times.

Self-reliance and confidence to move forward in the era of national growth

Faced with the current new situation, the 11th Central Conference of the Party unanimously adopted the theme of the 14th Congress as " Under the glorious flag of the Party, join hands and be determined to successfully implement the country's development goals by 2030; be self-reliant and confident in advancing in the era of the nation's rise for peace, independence, democracy, wealth, prosperity, civilization, happiness, and steadily moving towards socialism" .

The theme of the 14th Congress has two very clear parts and the two parts have a dialectical relationship with each other, are the premise and condition of each other; are two steps, two rungs, two sides of a unified entity that must proceed in parallel and both parts, both sides have a key common point, a decisive common point which is "Under the glorious flag of the Party".

Under the glorious flag of the Party, the whole country, the whole nation, the whole political system, the whole Party, the whole people, and the whole army join hands and are determined to successfully implement the country's development goals by 2030, the 100th anniversary of the Party's founding, to become a developing country with modern industry and high average income.

At the same time, under the glorious flag of our Party, our nation, our people, the entire Party, the entire people, the entire army, the entire political system, more than 100 million people as one, "self-reliant, confident in moving forward in the era of national growth to build a peaceful, independent, democratic, rich, prosperous, civilized, happy Vietnam, firmly advancing towards socialism".

"Joining efforts and being determined to successfully achieve the country's development goals by 2030" is a very important premise and condition for "self-reliance and confidence in moving forward in the era of national growth".

At the same time, “self-reliance and confidence in advancing strongly in the era of national development” is the foundation, solid basis, goal, and strategic orientation for the entire nation, the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army to have motivation, high political determination, and drastic actions to “join hands and be determined to successfully implement the country's development goals by 2030”.

The goal of the Party, of our entire nation, of our people in the era of national advancement is to build a peaceful, independent, democratic, prosperous, civilized, happy Vietnam, steadily moving towards socialism.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the 11th Central Conference of the 13th tenure on the afternoon of April 12, General Secretary To Lam emphasized that the Central Committee was highly unified and recognized the need to immediately implement a number of major solutions that had been unanimously approved in the draft documents, and at the same time concretized in the documents for the 2025-2030 term of Party organizations, including: Unanimously agreeing on the highest goal of the 14th Congress is to decide on strategic issues to ensure "stability, development and improvement of people's lives"; all viewpoints, goals, tasks and solutions in the draft documents must be unified, synchronous, consistent and create a combined strength to achieve this goal.

The Central Committee also agreed on the high requirements of the coming period: "high-quality development, rapid development and sustainable development", "proactive, self-reliant and autonomous in development"...

The history of the Vietnamese revolution shows that, under the Party's wise and talented leadership, arousing the will of self-reliance, self-control, self-confidence, self-strengthening, national pride, mobilizing the strength of the entire people combined with the strength of the times, the Vietnamese revolutionary boat will achieve miracles. That is the miracle of a semi-feudal colonial democratic country being able to defeat two powerful colonial empires, the miracle of a country from being besieged and embargoed to successfully carry out the renovation process with great achievements.

Now is the time for the Party's will to blend with the people's hearts in the aspiration to build a prosperous and happy country, soon successfully build socialism, and stand shoulder to shoulder with the world powers.

From the above issues, it can be seen that this is the time to "converge" all advantages and strengths to bring the country into a new era, an era of national growth following the era of independence, freedom, building socialism and the era of innovation.
