Heavy rain caused a landslide on National Highway 49 through Kim Quy Pass between Binh Dien and A Luoi 5 communes in the early morning of November 3. This is a vital traffic route connecting the center with the western mountainous region of Hue city.
Mr. Tran Quang Hiet, Deputy General Director of Thua Thien Hue Road Construction and Management Joint Stock Company, said that the forces are currently focusing on repairing the road, in order to soon reopen the route in the morning of the same day. Previously, there was also a landslide on this route but it has been fixed.
This flood occurred while Hue city had not yet overcome the consequences of two particularly large floods in the last days of October.
