Unifying the results of the selection of the composition and promotion contest on the theme of Uncle Ho and Uncle Ton

On the morning of April 29, the Organizing Committee of the Contest for composing and promoting literary, artistic and journalistic works with the theme "Studying and following the ideology, morality and style of Uncle Ho and Uncle Ton" for the period 2024 - 2025 held a meeting of the Organizing Committee members, the Jury, and the Secretariat to discuss and give opinions on the results of the work selection.

After nearly 1 year of launching, the contest received more than 1,100 entries from many units, localities, and press agencies inside and outside the province. Thereby, nearly 400 entries were selected for the final round, in 8 categories (reflective articles, good people and good deeds, radio reports, television reports, radio stories, literary memoirs, photography, and traditional songs).

The jury selected and proposed 88 outstanding works for awards (including 9 A prizes, 10 B prizes, 19 C prizes, and 50 consolation prizes). In addition, 5 units and localities were proposed to be rewarded for their achievements in promoting the contest.

At the meeting, delegates briefly informed about the quality of the contest, the quality of the works considered for awarding prizes; proposed recommendations related to the organization of the closing ceremony and awarding prizes; and the progress of the remaining tasks.

Concluding the meeting, Member of the Provincial Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of An Giang Provincial Party Committee Tran Thi Thanh Huong (Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest) agreed with the results of the selection and the list of awards for promotional activities proposed by the Jury and the Secretariat. These results demonstrate the sense of responsibility of the Organizing Committee and the Jury according to the criteria of fairness, publicity, transparency, objectivity, improving the quality of the contest better than previous seasons.

At the same time, note that members of the Organizing Committee and the Secretariat continue to complete the summary report, the results of the contest's selection; detailed script for the award ceremony; publish a book summarizing the winning works; video clips, reports related to the contest... as a basis for submitting to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee for comments. All must be implemented urgently according to the set schedule, with many creative innovations, worthy of the key activities commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025), and the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025).
