Currently, the forces of Road Management Area III are still continuing to carry out landslide clearance work, ensuring traffic; arranging staff, workers, vehicles, and machinery to be on duty 24/7 at the scene. The working groups are ready to respond and promptly handle any new landslides, determined to maintain smooth and safe traffic on the Ho Chi Minh Highway through the Lo Xo Pass area.
According to the Vietnam Road Administration, the weather in the Lo Xo Pass area is still rainy, the soil and rocks on the slope are saturated with water, the risk of landslides and traffic congestion is still very high. To ensure safety, the Administration recommends that vehicles traveling through the pass area need to be especially careful, follow the instructions of the authorities and the on-site warning system.
At the same time, drivers can proactively choose National Highway 19 or National Highway 24 to connect the Central Highlands region with National Highway 1, to ensure a safe journey and limit the risk of landslides that may occur on Lo Xo Pass.
