This afternoon (April 26), Ton Duc Thang University held a ceremony to announce its achievement of educational quality accreditation standards according to international standards of the FIBAA accreditation organization for the period from 2024 to 2030. At the same time, the university has 18 undergraduate and master's training programs certified for quality accreditation according to international standards FIBAA, ASIIN and AUN-QA, bringing the total number of quality accredited training programs to 37.
Dr. Tran Trong Dao, President of Ton Duc Thang University, said that after 9 years of implementing training programs standardized according to international standards, the rate of student satisfaction with the quality of teaching and learning under this program reached 98.72% - far exceeding the minimum target of 85%.
Notably, Mr. Dao said the most important success is the rate of students creating their own jobs and having jobs within 1 year of graduation in the last school year in the whole school reaching 99.3 - 100%, the highest level ever. In particular, there are majors where students have jobs with high starting salaries. In addition, the survey results of the satisfaction of businesses and employers show that all businesses that accept students to work evaluate students as having "professional ethics, discipline, diligence, serious and polite hours".
The certificate of conformity with inspection standards is the beginning of a new phase.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Van Phuc said that Ton Duc Thang University currently has 26,000 students, with more than 1,200 staff, lecturers and employees (of which the proportion of people with doctoral degrees is currently over 34%).
Addressing universities across the country, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Phuc said that the Ministry of Education and Training is currently assigned to summarize Resolution 29 (Resolution on fundamental and comprehensive innovation of education and training to meet the requirements of industrialization and modernization in the context of a socialist-oriented market economy and international integration). Accordingly, university education has undergone very strong innovation, especially the university autonomy mechanism, thereby creating a very dynamic development of the country's education system. Education quality assessment activities have also changed dramatically. If 10 years ago, very few schools met international standards and the number of schools and programs meeting domestic accreditation standards was very small, now it has increased significantly.
Ton Duc Thang University announced that it has achieved the quality accreditation standards for educational institutions according to international standards of the FIBAA accreditation organization.
