The Prime Minister approved the Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province.

The Prime Minister approved the election results for the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province for the 2021-2026 term for Mr. Nguyen Canh Toan, Deputy Secretary of the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision No. 2359/QD-TTg approving the election results for the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province for the 2021-2026 term.

Specifically, the Prime Minister approved the election results for the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province for the 2021-2026 term for Mr. Nguyen Canh Toan, Deputy Secretary of the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

This Decision comes into force from the date of signing and promulgation (October 24, 2025).

Previously, at the meeting of the People's Council of Lang Son province on the afternoon of October 20, 2025, Mr. Nguyen Canh Toan was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee with 100% of the attending delegates in agreement.

He assumed the new position to replace Mr. Ho Tien Thieu who retired.

Mr. Nguyen Canh Toan was born in 1976, Kinh ethnic group, hometown: Nghe An province; qualifications: Master of Human Resource Management, Senior in Political Theory.

Before being elected as Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province, Mr. Nguyen Canh Toan held the following positions: Vice Chairman of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises, Deputy Secretary of the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee./.
