Huaphanh Provincial Radio and Television Station, Vietnam's gift to Laos

On October 27, in Huaphanh province, the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Huaphanh Provincial Radio and Television Station took place, a gift from the Vietnamese Government to the Lao Government and the people of Huaphanh province.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Phoutphanh Keovongxay, Secretary and Deputy Governor of Huaphanh province; representatives of functional agencies of Vietnam and Laos, and a large number of local officials and people.

The Huaphanh Provincial Radio and Television Station project has a total investment of 146.4 billion VND, of which the Vietnamese Government provides non-refundable aid of 138.6 billion VND, and the Lao Government's counterpart capital is 7.8 billion VND.

According to the design, the project is built with a modern technological chain, including a Digital TV transmitter system with DTMB and DVB-T2 standards, 3kW capacity, UHF band, channel 35; an FM radio transmitter system with 5kW capacity, 104 MHz frequency, suitable for local conditions.

The project includes 3 main functional blocks: Radio-television broadcasting block including transmitter house, 75m high antenna pole; Program production and editing block including office building, recording and program editing studios, ethnic language editing room; Auxiliary construction block including electrical system, garden, lightning protection and modern fire protection...

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Phoutphanh Keovongxay said that this is one of the cooperation projects between the Lao and Vietnamese governments, which is of special importance to the development of the province. After completion and put into use, the project will contribute to improving the capacity of local communication infrastructure, meeting the requirements of fast, accurate and transparent information transmission, becoming an effective propaganda channel for the Party and State's guidelines and policies, while providing a rich and diverse source of information and knowledge for the people.

Mr. Phoutphanh Keovongxay emphasized that the project not only has socio -economic value but is also a vivid symbol of the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, two States and peoples of Laos and Vietnam.

On behalf of the Party Committee, government and people of Huaphanh province, Mr. Phoutphanh Keovongxay expressed his deep gratitude to the Party and Government of Vietnam for providing valuable capital to implement the project; affirmed that Huaphanh province will closely direct and coordinate with the Lao Project Management Board and the joint venture contractor so that the project is implemented according to the design, ensuring the highest quality, progress and efficiency./.
