South Korean President Lee Jae Myung affirmed that South Korea always considers Vietnam an important partner in implementing foreign policy in the region and is ready to accompany Vietnam in the next stage of development.
The two leaders agreed to continue enhancing political trust; expand substantive cooperation in defense and security; strengthen economic, trade and investment cooperation; make science and technology cooperation, innovation and digital transformation a new pillar in bilateral relations; and continue to strengthen cooperation in the fields of labor, culture, tourism and local exchanges.
The two sides also agreed to continue to coordinate more closely on regional and international issues of mutual concern, including Vietnam's support for the Republic of Korea to successfully organize the APEC Summit 2025 and the Republic of Korea's support and willingness to share experiences with Vietnam in successfully organizing the APEC Year 2027.
The Prime Minister conveyed the invitation from General Secretary To Lam and key Vietnamese leaders to President Lee Jae Myung to visit Vietnam at an appropriate time. President Lee Jae Myung expressed his thanks and happily accepted the invitation to have the opportunity to witness Vietnam's development with his own eyes./.
