The organizers have just officially announced the launch of the 20th season of Vietnam International Fashion Week, which will take place from November 12-15, in the capital city of Hanoi. The Fall/Winter 2025 event marks the 20th season of Vietnam's most prestigious fashion show, where fashion and culture intersect with the message #PureStyleShines - Unique identity creates style, continuing the spirit of honoring unique identity.

In particular, the program continues to pursue the story of sustainable fashion throughout recent seasons. However, to pursue the concept of sustainable fashion and highlight personal identity is not easy. Therefore, the designer who has been pursuing this philosophy deeply was chosen to open the event week, designer Vu Viet Ha with “ Pure Origin .

The collection is inspired by the Muong people's epic poem "Birth of the Earth and Water". From the story of the creation of the universe according to folk beliefs, the collection honors the journey of humans to find purity in style and self.

Vu Viet Ha sends the message: "Everyone has an original pure version inside them - awaken it and let it shine." Because like water - the pure source of life, purity is the starting point for each individual to confidently shine in their own way.

“I appreciate the 20-season journey of Vietnam International Fashion Week, because it is not only a journey of fashion but also a journey to affirm Vietnamese identity on the world map. With this collection, I want to send a message: fashion is not just about external beauty, but also how we tell the cultural stories of the nation through creative language,” the designer shared.

Starting his career as a traditional ao dai designer for over a decade, Vu Viet Ha has constantly transformed himself, affirming his own mark in the field of applied fashion. On the Vietnam International Fashion Week catwalk, many of his collections have left their mark thanks to the sophisticated handling of traditional materials and modern, unique shapes.

Vu Viet Ha has the ability to blend pure Vietnamese beauty in materials, patterns and national cultural spirit with modern ready-to-wear design thinking. He creates streetwear-inspired designs that still retain the Vietnamese spirit.

In his creative journey, Vu Viet Ha always tries to renew his “heritage” through each collection launched at the previous fashion week. With “Nuoc dau nguon , he recreates the water wave motif - an ancient pattern from the 19th century in Vietnam. In “Ky nguoi mong to the future , he honors the linen fiber of the Black Mong people.

At “Song To” - opening the Fall Winter 2023 International Fashion Week, Vu Viet Ha again honored the beauty of Vietnamese silk. Or the collection “Who is she?” (Spring Summer 2024) depicts the beauty hidden deep in the soul of Vietnamese women through natural materials such as lotus silk, banana silk, hemp, and pandan leaf fibers. And most recently, the collection “Ma Dao” (Spring Summer 2025) has the breath of the Bac Ha horse market, using raw linen, hand-dyed indigo and handmade buttons of the Dao people.

Successive collections have demonstrated Vu Viet Ha's progress in turning Vietnamese applied fashion into a space of cultural and contemporary creativity./.
