At the reception, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to the Comprehensive Partnership with the United States, welcomes the United States' increased cooperation with Vietnam, respects the political system and supports Vietnam to be "strong, independent, self-reliant and prosperous".

In the coming time, the Prime Minister suggested that the two countries continue to promote bilateral visits and contacts, and strengthen cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, science and technology, education and training, innovation, semiconductor chip manufacturing, digital transformation, energy transformation, green growth, diversification of supply chains, and response to climate change.

The Prime Minister asked the congressmen to support the US in limiting trade defense measures and technical barriers, facilitating the entry of Vietnam's key products such as agricultural, forestry and fishery products into the US market. The Prime Minister also asked the US Congress to continue to increase support for Vietnam in overcoming the consequences of war and creating favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community in the US.

US congressmen expressed good impressions of the country and people of Vietnam, highly appreciating Vietnam's development achievements, especially maintaining a high growth rate compared to the world, ensuring food security, energy, healthcare and sustainable public finance.

The parliamentarians wished to further promote bilateral relations, especially economic and trade relations, and maintain sustainable supply chains; and affirmed to cooperate with Vietnam in responding to regional and global challenges.
