ASC certification is one of the world's leading and most prestigious standards, recognizing responsible aquaculture producers and farmers who strictly meet criteria for traceability of raw materials, environmental protection, social responsibility, and transparent supply chain management.

Core strengths
Since 2011, De Heus has embarked on its aquaculture journey in Vietnam with its first factory in Vinh Long. Over more than a decade, the company has invested systematically in production systems, research, and technical support. Currently, De Heus owns six aquaculture feed production plants and a global aquaculture research and development center in Vinh Long.
De Heus' core strength lies in its aquaculture feed products, which are researched and developed based on long-standing European animal nutrition principles and practical experience in Vietnam, with specialized formulas, strictly controlled raw material quality, and modern production technology.
De Heus's range of aquaculture feeds is specifically designed for shrimp, catfish, tilapia, cold-water fish, and inland fish at each stage of development, optimizing growth rate, improving gut health, and strengthening the immune system of the animals.
De Heus's quality foundation is built on a rigorous raw material control system. Ingredients must meet high safety standards and be free of prohibited substances. This ensures that the feed provides all the necessary nutrients without leaving any residue in the final product.
Furthermore, the De Heus factory employs modern production lines, managed according to international standards (such as BAP, ISO22000) to ensure consistent feed pellet quality, good durability, and minimal loss during use, helping farmers optimize costs and improve aquaculture efficiency.
To date, De Heus has developed 19 lines of shrimp feed products such as START-TOM, POST-TOM, HI-TOM, GREEN TOM… under the ASC Feed certification model. These products ensure optimal nutrition, are free of banned substances, and strictly comply with international standards for biosafety and traceability, while also meeting the requirements for export to demanding markets such as the US, EU, and Japan…
Beyond just products, De Heus also implements comprehensive solutions such as direct on-farm technical support, aquaculture health monitoring, development of on-farm emission measurement tools, and mobile laboratory services for rapid and accurate diagnosis of disease issues.

A strategic step toward sustainable development.
Achieving ASC certification is a strategic step in De Heus' long-term development goals – affirming its commitment to nurturing future generations through sustainable values and responsibility towards the environment, the community, and the aquaculture industry.
De Heus partners with farmers in building sustainable aquaculture models, contributing to environmental protection, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and enhancing product value. Currently, De Heus is collaborating with the Department of Science and Technology, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Ca Mau province, SAEN Company, and other partners to implement a large-scale recirculating aquaculture shrimp farming project in Ca Mau province, applying RAS-IMTA technology.
This project not only helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions and minimize environmental pollution, but also aims to establish raw material areas that meet ASC and BAP standards for export.
With an expansion scale of up to 1,000 hectares in the period 2025-2030, De Heus takes on a comprehensive role ranging from providing high-quality shrimp feed and direct technical support at farms to advising and assisting farmers in integrating and transitioning to recirculating water treatment models. The goal is to optimize production efficiency and minimize environmental impact.

Beyond demonstrating De Heus's production capabilities, the ASC certification opens up significant opportunities to connect Vietnam's seafood industry with the global market. Through its global network, De Heus facilitates collaborations with major processors and exporters, enabling high-quality products to access demanding markets such as Europe, the US, and Japan.
