Speaking at the program, Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung, Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City, said that developing cultural industry is an extremely important sector, which also contributes greatly to socio-economic development, has potential and many advantages compared to other localities.
According to Resolution 98 of the National Assembly, the city will have policies to support funding portions so that innovation groups can incubate their products in nine priority areas.
The Department of Science and Technology has launched a number of incubation programs, seeking innovative solutions in the public sector focusing on three areas: Education, healthcare, and public administration, and has attracted more than 100 projects, and is in the final stages of selecting outstanding projects to enter the incubation phase.
At the signing ceremony, the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City launched 3 competitions: Artificial Intelligence (AI.STAR 2024); Sustainable Development (GIC 2024); Cultural Industry (INNOCULTURE 2024) to select innovative projects and creative startups.
