Attending the meeting were leaders of the Department of Science and Technology, the Department of Health, representatives of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital and major hospitals in Dong Nai.

At the meeting, representatives of the units presented the advantages, difficulties as well as the needs for research activities, application of science and technology in the medical field. At the same time, they expressed their hope that in the coming time, the Department of Science and Technology will have specific instructions, advise competent authorities to propose open directions to facilitate scientific research activities, deploy the application of research topics to serve the work of public health care.

At the meeting, Director of the Department of Science and Technology Ta Quang Truong emphasized that units and hospitals, together with the Department of Science and Technology and the Department of Health, need to discuss and find solutions to bring large-scale research topics to medical activities into practical application, taking care of people's health in the province through the form of "asking for assignment to solve" or "asking assignment to solve by yourself". From there, it is possible to bring high and modern technology to serve people in the province.

In May 2025, the Department of Science and Technology will coordinate with the Department of Health and relevant localities to soon organize a scientific workshop to discuss ways to remove difficulties for the health sector in scientific research activities, thereby spreading the spirit of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo; creating an open direction, implementing many research topics with high applicability.

Previously, at the first meeting of the Steering Committee on Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation of the province on the afternoon of April 14, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Duong Minh Dung suggested that relevant departments and branches should promote research, transfer, and practical application of scientific topics and highly applicable technological products to promote solutions for science, technology, innovation and digital transformation development in Dong Nai. In particular, it is necessary to strengthen solutions for technology application and digital transformation in the fields of health, education, etc. in the province.
