Promoting Vietnam-Albania cooperation to new heights

Vietnamese Ambassador to Greece and Albania Pham Thi Thu Huong presented her credentials to Albanian President Bajram Begaj.

At the reception during the letter of credence presentation ceremony held on October 22, the President of Albania highly appreciated the good traditional relationship between Vietnam and Albania over the past 75 years, emphasizing the need to revive the relationship between the two countries through promoting delegation exchanges at all levels, strengthening political , economic and cultural cooperation, and prioritizing the building of legal cooperation frameworks in each field, including the Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement.

President Bajram Begaj congratulated Ambassador Pham Thi Thu Huong on her appointment, believing that with her experience and during her term as a bridge, the Ambassador will promote cooperation between the two countries to new heights.

For her part, Ambassador Pham Thi Thu Huong conveyed the warm regards of the President and leaders of Vietnam to the President, Government and people of Albania.

The Ambassador affirmed that Vietnam always appreciates the help and support that the Government and people of Albania have given Vietnam in the past during the resistance war for national independence; and hopes that the good relationship between Vietnam and Albania will continue to be consolidated and enhanced in many fields, meeting the aspirations of the people of the two countries, especially in the context of the two countries celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.

On the occasion of presenting her credentials in Albania, from October 21-23, Ambassador Pham Thi Thu Huong greeted President of the Albanian Parliament Niko Peleshi and had meetings with Deputy Minister of Economy and Innovation of Albania; Director of the Protocol Department, Director of the Department of Economy, Cultural Diplomacy and Albanians Abroad of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania; Director General of the Albanian Agency for Development and Investment; Executive Director of the Albanian Investment Corporation; President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tirana, Albania.

The Vietnamese Embassy held a reception to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Albania diplomatic relations in the capital city of Tirana with the participation of representatives of Albanian agencies, ministries, ambassadors, representatives of countries and international organizations in the diplomatic corps, and Albanian businesses and friends./.
