Carry out well the work of caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers.

On July 19th, the Thanh Hoa Health Sector Trade Union held a conference to review the workers' movement and trade union activities during the first six months of the year; to discuss directions and tasks for the last six months of 2024; and to commemorate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2024). Attending the conference were Mr. Mai Ba Nam, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor; and Mr. Do Thai Hoa, Deputy Director of the Department of Health.

In the first six months of 2024, the Thanh Hoa Health Sector Trade Union proactively reviewed and proposed the full and timely implementation of all regulations and policies for employees. The union focused on caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of its members and workers.

During the Lunar New Year and "Workers' Month" in 2024, trade unions at all levels organized visits and presented thousands of gifts to support union members and workers in particularly difficult circumstances, with a total value of over 1.5 billion VND.

From the Thanh Hoa Provincial Trade Union's Workers' Support Fund, the health sector trade union awarded funds to build "Trade Union Shelters" for two union members, totaling 75 million VND.

Many affiliated grassroots trade unions have carried out meaningful and practical charitable activities, demonstrating the deep concern of the trade union organization for its members, contributing to sharing the difficulties and hardships of members' families during the traditional Lunar New Year; at the same time, encouraging families to continue striving, overcoming difficulties to successfully fulfill their responsibilities at home and in society.

The work of developing union membership and establishing trade unions outside of state-owned enterprises has received significant attention. The Health Sector Trade Union has established one new grassroots trade union (achieving 50% of the target set by the Provincial Labor Federation) with 16 members; and recruited 348 new members (achieving 116%) at affiliated grassroots trade unions.

At the conference, leaders of the Provincial Labor Union and the Department of Health awarded the Commemorative Medal for the Cause of Building the Trade Union Organization to 3 individuals; presented awards to individuals who achieved high results in the provincial workers' sports competition; and awarded prizes for the video/clip contest "Elegant Ao Dai for Female Cadres, Civil Servants, and Workers in the Thanh Hoa Health Sector" on YouTube.
