To celebrate the 95th anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's Traditional Day (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2025), on the morning of November 17, in Thac Ba commune, Lao Cai province, Politburo member and Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu attended the National Great Unity Day, sharing joy with the people of Ho Sen and Ngoi Len villages.
Also attending were comrades: Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Trinh Viet Hung, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Lao Cai province, provincial leaders, and leaders of Thac Ba commune.
After listening to the report of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thac Ba commune and the opinions of the people of the two villages, speaking at the festival, Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu expressed his joy and excitement when attending the National Great Unity Festival of the inter-village of Ho Sen and Ngoi Len.
The Standing Secretariat emphasized that for many years now, the organization of the National Great Unity Day in residential areas on the occasion of the anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front has become a beautiful tradition, bringing the Front's work back to the residential community, towards each family and each person.
The purpose of the Festival is to build, consolidate and promote people's mastery; strengthen the strength of national unity.
The results of the Festival have brought spiritual values, enriched revolutionary will, honored community strength, contributed to the successful implementation of political tasks, economic, cultural and social development from each village, hamlet, residential group, residential area... in the whole country.
This year's National Great Unity Day has even more special significance as our entire Party, people and army are striving to compete for achievements to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Party, creating a solid foundation to resolutely achieve the goal of building the country, building our homeland Lao Cai to become increasingly rich, prosperous, civilized and happy.
The Standing Secretariat emphasized that Thac Ba commune is a land rich in historical, cultural and revolutionary traditions, where many ethnic groups live together, of which ethnic minorities account for 38.3%.
During the resistance wars to protect the Fatherland, Thac Ba commune made many contributions in terms of manpower and resources, fighting with the army and people of the whole country to gain independence and freedom for the country and the nation.
Thac Ba Commune manages part of the lake area, where Thac Ba Hydroelectric Plant is located - the first hydroelectric project in Vietnam.
The Thac Ba lake area also has relics and cultural and religious destinations, including Thac Ba temple, recognized as a National Historical Relic associated with Mother Goddess worship, which have become prominent destinations and are planned as potential tourist areas.
Besides, the commune also pays attention to and focuses on building and developing industrial clusters with abundant young labor resources.
Implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction for the period 2021-2025, with the efforts of the Party Committee, the government and the consensus, solidarity and efforts of the people, the predecessor communes of Thac Ba commune such as Dai Minh commune have been recognized as model rural areas, Thac Ba town has been recognized as a type 5 urban area and is considered one of the typical communes. The commune Party Committee has been continuously recognized as a "Clean and strong Party Committee" for many years.
In the 10 months of 2025, in the context of many difficulties and challenges, the total local income still maintained a fairly good level (reaching more than 300 billion VND), the average income per capita is estimated at 65 million VND/person/year.
The whole commune has 92% of households achieving the title of "Cultural Family", 47 villages achieving the title of "Cultural Village".
Ho Sen and Ngoi Len inter-village has a total natural area of more than 337 hectares with 239 households and more than 1,000 people, with 4 ethnic groups (Kinh, Tay, Dao, Cao Lan) living together in solidarity and harmony.
The Standing Secretariat appreciated that the cadres and people of the two villages have promoted the spirit of solidarity, mutual love, and mutual assistance in economic development in many industries, transferring and applying scientific and technical advances in production and business fields to increase income and household economy, contributing to stabilizing people's lives and social security; many families have built new, spacious, clean and beautiful houses.
Currently, in the two villages, there are only 3 poor households, 2 near-poor households and 14 households belonging to policy families. Officials and people always pay attention to social activities and cultural codes of conduct in the hamlet and village; encourage people to participate in the emulation to build cultural families and cultural villages.
By 2025, more than 94% of households had achieved the title of cultural family and the village had achieved the title of "Cultural village", implementing a good cultural lifestyle in organizing traditional festivals, funerals, weddings, and longevity celebrations in accordance with regulations and customs.
Implementing the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", in 2025, people in the residential area actively responded, 23 households voluntarily donated 1,200 square meters of land to upgrade and expand inter-village roads, contributing to completing infrastructure and building a new, clean and beautiful countryside.
Environmental protection and public health protection are regularly focused on; the people actively participate in the movement to protect national security; political security and social order and safety in the area are ensured.
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu acknowledged, highly appreciated and warmly congratulated the results and achievements of Ho Sen-Ngoi Len inter-village in the recent past.
In the coming time, the Standing Secretariat hopes that the leaders of Lao Cai province at all levels and the Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front Committee, and mass organizations of Thac Ba commune and Ho Sen-Ngoi Len inter-village continue to promote the good traditions and achievements, successfully implement the resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels; mobilize people to strengthen the strength of great solidarity, and successfully complete the political-economic, cultural-social tasks of the locality.
Organize well the patriotic emulation movements of the people; encourage and motivate advanced models, outstanding groups and individuals, create a vibrant emulation movement, arouse the desire to enrich the family, the homeland and the country. Continue to mobilize resources from the community to care for and help the poor and people in difficult circumstances.
“Whether or not the construction of cultural life in each family, in each village and hamlet is successful depends on each of us; building a healthy, peaceful and prosperous residential area is for ourselves and future generations,” Comrade Tran Cam Tu emphasized, at the same time requesting and hoping that people continue to promote the glorious revolutionary tradition, promote the fine traditional cultural identity and the strength of great national unity, determined to strive to build our Ho Sen-Ngoi Len inter-village as well as all residential areas in the whole Lao Cai province to become increasingly rich, prosperous, civilized, modern, and the people's lives to be prosperous and happy.
On behalf of the Party Committee, government and people of Lao Cai province, comrade Trinh Viet Hung, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, respectfully thanked comrade Tran Cam Tu for his special attention and affection for the locality.
He emphasized that the speeches of recognition, encouragement and dedicated, profound direction of the Standing Member of the Secretariat are a great source of encouragement, adding to the spirit, motivation and suggesting important directions for the people of Ho Sen and Ngoi Len villages, Thac Ba commune in particular and the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Lao Cai province in general to continue promoting the tradition of solidarity, self-reliance and self-strengthening spirit, arousing the desire to rise up, join hands and overcome all difficulties and challenges, and together determine to build the homeland to develop more and more.
At the Festival, Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu and the Central Working Delegation visited booths displaying products from agricultural production activities, industrial products, handicrafts, and cultural identities of ethnic groups in Thac Ba commune; and shared traditional cultural and sports activities with local ethnic people.
Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Secretary of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee Trinh Viet Hung and comrades in the working delegation, leaders of Lao Cai province presented gifts to exemplary families and the Front Working Committee of the two villages; and presented bicycles to some students./.
