The working group visited the Khoa village to inspect the situation. At the Khoa village suspension bridge, a sand dredger was caught in the cable under the bridge, threatening to float away. The authorities cut the cable to ensure safety and also put up warning ropes to prevent people and vehicles from crossing the bridge. Currently, the river water level in this area is rising.

According to local reports, from the morning of November 16 to the morning of November 17, in Cu Pui commune, there was moderate to heavy rain, with some places experiencing rain lasting for several hours. The average rainfall was 343 - 453 mm. Heavy rain caused flooding in 43 houses in Khoa hamlet, Khanh hamlet, Dien Tan village, Tlier hamlet, H'ngo B hamlet, Bhung hamlet and Ea Bar hamlet.

As the water continues to rise, the above households have been evacuated to safety.

In addition, to ensure people's safety, the commune's forces have organized the evacuation of 22 households in villages 1, 2, Ea Bar, Ea Lang, Ea Uol living in areas at risk of landslides to safe places.

The rising water level also caused some low-lying fields in the commune to be flooded; the upstream stream bank of Cu Phiang dam was eroded for about 40 meters; the Ra Da Son Phong dam canal had a 15 meter long earthen canal bank eroded and some canals were buried by soil and sand.

Heavy rain also caused flooding on many roads passing through Cu Pui commune. Specifically: Provincial Road 12 (section passing through Khoa village); the road leading to Dak Tuor Stone Cave Relic Site; the road leading to Ea Uol village; the road from Ea Bar village (Cu Pui commune) to Cu Dram village (Yang Mao commune). Heavy rain also caused landslides in village 2 and the road leading to Cu Rang village.

During the inspection, Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet directed forces of Cu Pui commune to set up warning lines and blockades at flooded traffic points. At the same time, they inspected key areas at risk of landslides, flooding, and irrigation works.

Regularly update weather forecast information and promptly disseminate it to people to proactively respond; mobilize people to reinforce their houses, protect their property, and move livestock and poultry to safe places. Especially, propagate and instruct people not to cross rivers, streams, and low-lying areas when there is heavy rain.

In addition, the commune needs to mobilize militia, police, union members and youth to be on duty 24/7 during floods; proactively prepare rescue vehicles when necessary.
