(HBĐT) - On October 23, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee worked with the Meiko Corporation of Japan, led by Mr. Atsushi Sakate, Permanent Vice President of the Meiko Corporation of Japan, on the implementation of the investment project for a factory producing electronic microchips in the Industrial Park (IP) on the left bank of the Da River ( Hoa Binh city). Receiving and working with the delegation were comrades: Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Bui Duc Hinh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Bui Van Khanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Provincial People's Committee; relevant departments, branches and units.

Comrade Nguyen Phi Long, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Standing members of the Provincial Party Committee and a number of departments and branches worked with Meiko Corporation of Japan.

Meiko Corporation of Japan is implementing a plan to build a factory to produce electronic microcircuits in the Left Bank of the Da River Industrial Park, leasing land and infrastructure from Da Hop Trading Joint Stock Company with a total area of ​​9.2 hectares; investment capital equivalent to 200 million USD. Meiko Corporation has become one of the world's leading corporations in the production of electronic printed circuit boards and assembly of electronic components, with 5 factories in Japan, 2 factories in China and representative offices and subsidiaries around the world. Main areas of activity include: Design, production and fabrication of electronic printed circuit boards (PCB); assembly of components onto PCB, assembly of complete electronic products (EMS).

In Vietnam, Meiko Group has invested in building 3 factories to produce electronic circuit boards and assemble printed circuit boards (PCBs) with a total investment of 500 million USD, creating jobs for more than 7,000 workers and contributing about 30 million USD/year to the State budget.

Representatives of Meiko Group of Japan proposed and recommended that the province support the group in investment procedures, planning adjustments, and project investment scale adjustments; support stable power supply to ensure the production process; and demand for clean water and wastewater discharge to start construction of the factory in March 2024.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Phi Long, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, pledged to accompany Meiko Group, providing maximum support for administrative procedures, wastewater and electricity; along with investment in traffic infrastructure, creating favorable conditions for the Group and domestic and foreign enterprises to invest in the province.

In that spirit, the Provincial Party Secretary directed the relevant departments and branches to focus on providing the best support to investors in completing relevant procedures to start the project as planned. In particular, the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board will take the lead, coordinate with departments and branches to resolve planning issues, ensure stable power sources, clean water sources, and waste discharge, and promptly remove obstacles and difficulties in the implementation process, striving to complete relevant procedures to start the project by March 2024. It is proposed that the Japanese Meiko Group establish a standing working group to coordinate with the provincial departments and branches to organize the implementation.
