Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the National Defense, Security and Foreign Affairs Committee Le Tan Toi stated that in 2025, the world situation will develop quite rapidly, complicatedly and unpredictably. This is also the year to prepare for the 14th National Party Congress, prepare for the election of the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, summarize 5 years of implementing the foreign policy of the 13th National Party Congress and mark a breakthrough in the organizational work of the Party and State, including the rearrangement of the foreign affairs work of the Party, National Assembly and State.

“Reviewing and evaluating the world situation and the Party and State's foreign affairs in 2025 is of special importance, helping the National Assembly have a basis to build strategic orientations in the coming period,” the Chairman of the Committee on National Defense, Security and Foreign Affairs emphasized.

The Chairman of the National Defense, Security and Foreign Affairs Committee also said that the Report of the Government and the National Defense, Security and Foreign Affairs Committee will be sent to National Assembly deputies to have a comprehensive and in-depth view of the world situation and the foreign affairs work of our Party and State in the cause of national defense and development.
