( Bqp.vn ) - On the morning of November 11, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of National Defense led a working delegation of the Ministry of National Defense to inspect the field and listen to a report on the preparations for the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 at Gia Lam Airport (Hanoi).
Also attending the inspection were Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army; leaders and commanders of a number of agencies and units of the Ministry of National Defense.

After inspecting the area where the exhibition activities are planned to be held at Gia Lam airport, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien and the working delegation attended a meeting to hear a report on the preparations for the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024.

According to the report of the General Department of Defense Industry - Standing Agency of the Organizing Committee, implementing the leadership and direction of the Head of the Ministry of National Defense, the Steering Committee for the Organization of the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024, in the past time, the Exhibition Organizing Subcommittees have actively and proactively deployed tasks and work according to Plan No. 3445/KH-BTC dated November 5, 2023 of the Organizing Committee; promptly reported, directed, and adjusted plans and tasks to prepare for the exhibition, ensuring closeness to the actual situation. Up to now, the tasks have been deployed according to the approved schedule and plan, in which some tasks have exceeded the set targets.

Speaking at the inspection, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien acknowledged and highly appreciated the determination and efforts of the Organizing Committee, the General Department of Defense Industry and agencies and units in coordinating and synchronously implementing the preparation work for the exhibition. Emphasizing the significance and significance of this exhibition, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien said that the amount of work to be implemented is still large, the remaining time is short, while the requirements are high, so the units must be determined, make efforts and try to complete all preparations for the exhibition.
In order for the exhibition to take place as planned, achieving the set goals and requirements, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien requested relevant agencies and units to continue to carefully review the plans, focus on and urgently complete the infrastructure, overall decoration for the exhibition and the remaining work, ensuring quality and progress. Urgently develop and complete the opening ceremony program, the framework program of the exhibition days, the seminar program at the exhibition, the operating scenario of the Organizing Committee as well as each Subcommittee to ensure details and specificity.
Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien also noted that the Organizing Committee and Subcommittees need to pay attention, focus on, and do a good job of propaganda work, reception work, cultural and artistic activities, and ensure security and safety during the exhibition.

The Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 is scheduled to take place from December 19 to 22, 2024 at Gia Lam Airport (Hanoi). This is one of the activities in the series of events celebrating the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army. The exhibition has a total area of over 100,000 m², of which the exhibition area is about 35,000 m² (including indoor and outdoor). During the opening ceremony of the exhibition, there are expected to be a number of main activities such as: Welcome flight of the Air Force; performance of the Special Forces and Border Guard; cultural and artistic performances... The exhibition will display and introduce defense and security products of defense industry companies; including products researched and manufactured by Vietnam; outstanding and modern weapons and technical equipment in the Vietnam People's Army. According to the Organizing Committee, up to now, 140 contacts and companies from 27 countries around the world have announced their participation in the exhibition.
In addition, within the framework of the exhibition, there will be exchanges, discussions, and cooperation promotion between agencies, units and enterprises; enterprises with enterprises; seminars on military technology; activities to introduce economic achievements combined with national defense...
