Specifically, at around 8:30 p.m. on October 31, on his way home from work, Mr. Le Van Huan (residing in Quarter 2, Nam Dong Ha Ward) discovered a pangolin weighing about 3 kg at the intersection of Nguyen Hue and Dang Tat streets. Immediately after, Mr. Huan reported it to the authorities.

Upon receiving the information, Nam Dong Ha Ward Police, Cam Lo - Dong Ha Forest Protection Department, and representatives of the Economic , Infrastructure and Urban Department of Nam Dong Ha Ward went to Mr. Huan's house to complete the procedures to hand over the pangolin to Cam Lo - Dong Ha Forest Protection Department for further care and handling according to the law...

It is known that pangolin is one of the animals classified in group IB, endangered and rare forest animals according to the provisions of Decree 84/2021/ND-CP of the Government amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 06/2019/ND-CP of the Government on management of endangered, precious and rare forest plants and animals and implementation of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora. This is a species strictly protected under the CITES Convention to prevent the risk of illegal hunting and trading in all forms...
