Provincial and district delegates joined the large number of people in Phu Dong residential area to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the National Unity Day.

On the afternoon of November 12th, the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Ha Van Hung, attended the National Unity Day celebration with officials and people of Phu Dong residential area, Loc Ha town (Loc Ha district).

Also attending were representatives from several departments, agencies, and Loc Ha district.

The folk art performance "Flower of Great Unity" was performed by members of the Women's Association of Phu Dong residential area.

Phu Dong residential area has 196 households with 756 inhabitants, 27 Party members, and 5 effectively functioning mass organizations. Over the years, the officials and people here have always been united, focusing on their livelihoods, prioritizing economic development, and working together to build their homeland.

Many emulation movements have been actively and effectively implemented by the people, such as: "All citizens participate in building new rural areas and civilized urban areas," the "Day for the Poor" campaign, and the "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" campaign...

Mr. Phan Van Lam - Head of Phu Dong TDP delivered a speech commemorating the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front.

Over the past year, under the leadership of the Party branch and with the support and encouragement of mass organizations, the people of Phu Dong residential area have built 8 new houses (raising the percentage of houses with tiled roofs in the residential area to 95%), reduced the number of poor households by 2 (currently there are 8 poor households and 9 near-poor households), contributed 164 million VND to build cultural facilities, renovated 350m of rural road corridors, and 230m of irrigation canals for residents and in the fields.

Along with economic development and the construction of essential infrastructure, the people here also always pay attention to improving their spiritual lives, maintaining cultural, artistic, and sports activities, taking care of their health, and raising their children (100% of children of school age attend school, 4 students passed university entrance exams, 2 passed college entrance exams, 8 students won provincial and district-level awards for outstanding students, and 64 students achieved advanced student status), and the percentage of cultured families is 93%...

With the spirit of solidarity and “mutual love”, the people in Phu Dong residential area have also regularly cared for policy families, meritorious people, poor households, long-term sick households and other vulnerable groups. This year, the people have donated 8 million VND to 24 households in difficult circumstances, fully supporting the “For the Poor” Fund.

Promoting the achieved results, in the coming time, Phu Dong Residential Group will continue to promote the strength of great national unity, actively and effectively carry out patriotic emulation movements and other major campaigns. Thereby, aiming at the goal of reducing the poverty rate to below 4%, having 97% of families achieving cultural standards, 100% of houses meeting standards, no social evils, no serious law violators, doing a good job of environmental sanitation, taking care of party member development, making efforts to invest in essential infrastructure systems...
