According to Mr. Loc, the serious landslide occurred on the afternoon of October 31, at Group 3, My Thuan Hamlet, My Hoa Hung Commune. The landslide was about 150m long, 20m deep into the river bank. The landslide completely collapsed the traffic route through Group 3, My Thuan Hamlet, affecting 12 households with 44 people living along the traffic route. The landslide did not cause any human casualties, but the estimated damage to people's property was over 1.2 billion VND.

The initial landslide location determined by the authorities is about 50m upstream of the Hau River from the landslide that occurred on September 4, 2025. This is a curved section of the bank, with currents close to the shore, strong water, combined with heavy loads from houses and traffic on the shore, making the ground weak and susceptible to subsidence and landslides.

After the landslide occurred, the leaders of My Hoa Hung commune mobilized the Military Command, Commune Police and My Thuan Hamlet Committee to quickly arrive at the scene to rescue and assist people in moving their belongings out of the dangerous area. The locality also put up warning signs of dangerous landslide areas, prohibiting vehicles from passing through the road to ensure safety.

Faced with the complicated landslide situation, the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of My Hoa Hung commune conducted a field survey, assisted people in dismantling and moving their assets to a safe place. Currently, the locality continues to mobilize people around the landslide area to move structures to reduce the load; pull cords to cordon off the area, install barriers, temporary signs, hang warning lights, etc. to ensure traffic safety through the landslide area. At the same time, the locality continues to monitor to warn and mobilize people and households at risk of being affected by subsidence and landslides to move to a safe place.

Currently, the landslide area at Group 3, My Thuan Hamlet is at risk of continuing to erode further inland, affecting dozens of surrounding households. The People's Committee of My Hoa Hung Commune has stepped up propaganda and mobilized people in high-risk areas to urgently evacuate to a safe place. At the same time, the locality has also promptly reported to the Provincial People's Committee and specialized departments and branches to organize surveys and assess the extent of the landslide, have plans to support the handling and repair of damaged roads, and promptly support affected households.

Previously, on the afternoon of October 29, the road from Ut Na culvert to Dau Con market, belonging to group 5 of My Thuan hamlet and group 1 of My Khanh 1 hamlet, My Hoa Hung commune, An Giang province, also had a serious landslide, affecting dozens of households. The landslide completely collapsed a wooden bridge serving traffic and a grocery store completely collapsed into the river. The landslide area seriously affected 8 households with 23 people in My Khanh 1 hamlet and 8 households in My Thuan hamlet. The landslide did not cause any human casualties but caused property damage of over 1 billion VND...
