Destroyed over 750kg of animal products of unknown origin

Authorities inspected animal products transported by vehicle owner and cargo owner Ly Thi Hang.

Specifically, at 3:30 p.m., upon inspection, the authorities discovered a truck with license plate 29K-250.26 driven by Ly Thi Hang, born in 1983, with permanent residence in Duc Thuong commune, Hoai Duc district, Hanoi , transporting 200 kg of various animal organs; 60 kg of chicken feet, nearly 500 kg of buffalo and cow skin, animal fat... All of which were in a state of foul odor and leaking. Ly Thi Hang was also the owner of the above goods.

After checking, realizing that all of the above animal products were no longer usable and could be dangerous to consumers, the authorities sealed and then destroyed all of the above animal products, and decided to fine the owner Ly Thi Hang 10 million VND according to the provisions of Clause 5, Article 20 of Decree 90/2017/ND-CP dated July 31, 2017.

As the Lunar New Year approaches, the demand for food increases, and many greedy individuals have sought to import and consume expired and spoiled animal products, affecting the health of the community. Therefore, in addition to strengthening inspection and control by authorities, when people detect suspicious cases, they need to promptly notify the authorities to ensure food safety and hygiene and the general health of the community.
