Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs Du Van Quang presented Phu Tho purple tea buds to representatives of LDSC in Vietnam during a field survey to propose a project to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Phu Tho.
Currently, the Center for Information, Consulting and Foreign Services is actively completing the procedures for receiving the project.
In addition to the proposed project to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households in the province, the Center for Information, Consulting and Foreign Services is continuing to consult and mobilize LDSC to sponsor computer classroom and toilet projects for a number of publiceducational institutions in Phu Ninh district, with a total value of more than 4 billion VND.
Latter-day Saint Charities (LDSC) is an American non-governmental organization, operating since 1985. LDSC operates in more than 190 countries and territories, focusing on the following core areas: Emergency relief (natural disasters, wars, epidemics); clean water and sanitation; support for people with disabilities (wheelchairs, rehabilitation); medical and educational support; food security and livelihood support.
In recent times, LDSC has deployed and implemented programs and projects in Phu Tho such as: Wheelchair project; project to provide clean water and toilet systems; support for ophthalmic equipment; support for school construction, teaching equipment... in line with the priority orientation of mobilizing foreign non-governmental aid of the province, the area of operation of the province. Notably, in 2021, in the face of complicated developments of the COVID-19 epidemic situation, LDSC/USA handed over 1,000 sets of COVID-19 level 4 protective clothing; 20,000 N95 medical masks with a total value of 16,400 USD to the Phu Tho Department of Health.
