Organize diverse activities for Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day

The 4th Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day - 2025 was held in Hanoi to implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress on building and promoting cultural values ​​and the strength of Vietnamese people; contributing to the implementation of the Party and State's policies on developing a reading culture; affirming the position, role and importance of books in improving knowledge, skills, developing thinking,educating and training human personality.

This is also an activity to encourage and develop the reading movement in the community; enhance the responsibility of all levels and sectors of the city in developing a reading culture; build and develop the reading movement, towards building a learning society, creating beauty in the social life of the capital, contributing to building elegant and civilized Hanoians .

In Hanoi, the activities of the fourth Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day - 2025 will be held from April 15 to May 1, with the messages: "Reading culture - Connecting the community", "Entering the era of national growth with books", "Reading - enriching knowledge, nurturing aspirations, promoting innovation and creativity".

Readers will participate in many activities to promote books, tell stories and imitate books, draw pictures according to books; arrange books artistically; exchange and discuss books and reading culture; honor readers, creators, librarians, preserve, collect, promote books and contribute to the development of reading culture; organize spaces to introduce books of publishers and distributors; sign books; donate, support and give books, exchange old books for new books; organize reading promotion activities, guide reading methods and skills, develop skills in searching, exploiting and using information.

The city mobilizes all social resources to organize Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day, organizes diverse and rich reading culture development activities, combines traditional activities with modern organization methods, enhances the application of digital transformation in activities; ensures solemnity, meaning, cultural - educational and cultural characteristics of Hanoi.

Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports presides over and coordinates with departments, branches, districts, towns to implement activities.

In particular, Hanoi Library will organize book exhibitions and displays; exchange and introduce books; launch the Hanoi City Reading Culture Ambassador contest in 2025; strengthen mobile library services at locations with difficult conditions; guide the implementation of activities at the district-level library system...

At Hanoi Book Street, there will be activities in response to the fourth Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day - 2025 with the participation of many publishing and book distribution units.
