'Homeland in the Heart', a Symphony of Patriotism

“Fatherland in the Heart” is truly a “party” of sound, light and patriotism. The stage is designed on a national and international scale, divided into 4 zones with meaningful messages: Independence, Freedom, Happiness, Red Flag with Yellow Star. The entire performance space is arranged in a V shape, 26 meters high, as a vivid declaration of love and pride of every Vietnamese child for their homeland.

The political art program, jointly organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper and the Hanoi People's Committee, made a large number of viewers burst into emotions. This is a cultural and political event to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

"Fatherland in the heart" took place including 3 chapters: Chapter 1: Shape of the country, Chapter 2: Proud melody, Chapter 3: Fatherland in the heart - three emotional slices recreating the flow of 80 years of history through music , images and light, to relive, feel and engrave the two sacred words: Fatherland.

The program gathered the Vietnam People's Army along with hundreds of artists, singers, actors, children, bands, choirs..., bringing impressive and eye-catching artistic performances to a large audience watching live at My Dinh National Stadium and on Hanoi television as well as a number of online platforms.

The program takes place in the capital space, not only is it a simple art program, but also a patriotic harmony combining music, stage performance, complex art with the depth of history and inspiration of the times, and community emotions.

One of the most anticipated moments of the program was the singing of the National Anthem in unison. An unprecedented experience, when tens of thousands of people wearing red shirts with yellow stars, sang together in the vast space of My Dinh Stadium.

“Tien Quan Ca” has been deeply engraved in the mind of every Vietnamese person. But in the moment when about 50,000 people sang it together, not because of stage effects, not because of arrangements, but because of natural emotions that welled up from within, it brought a rare experience in life.

Sharing his feelings with reporters of Tin Tuc and Dan Toc newspaper on the evening of August 10, Mr. Kieu Xuan Son, 83 years old, house number 23 Ho Hoan Kiem street, Hoan Kiem ward, Hanoi said: "It is truly the first time in my life that I have heard a chorus of about 50,000 people singing the National Anthem."

"The performance "Leng Dang" (Rock arrangement) performed by singer Dong Hung made the audience emotional, when in the midst of years of bombs and bullets plowing, there were still strangely beautiful moments of peace - the state of mind of the free zone - where farmers were happy with the bountiful harvest... and peace was the truth that existed in the midst of war. People clung to the fields, producing for the golden season not only to make a living but also to contribute to the front line. And, from those peaceful villages, generations of young people grew up, matured and enthusiastically set out to follow the call of the country. That was the call that urged many generations of Vietnamese to "Leng Dang" together for nearly a century...

Ha Le - a young singer but also joined the general atmosphere, celebrating the special holiday with a new arrangement of Hue, Saigon, Hanoi (Trinh Cong Son). Before that, the male singer had a duet with singer Vo Ha Tram with 2 extremely smooth mash-ups Song of Hope (Van Ky) - Aspiration (Pham Minh Tuan). The harmony of the soprano voice and the emotional male voice created an emotional song.

The medley "Five brothers on a tank" - "Marching to Saigon" brought new emotions through the voice of Oplus Group, Meritorious Artist Dang Duong.

In the program, there was a segment that made viewers emotional when quoting Lieutenant Quach Minh Son - former scout of Division 320: "With mother, with family. The soldiers at that time only had the most noble wish: to quickly liberate the South, to return to mother. Achieving freedom and peace is not easy. Having it now, try to keep it."

According to Mr. Kieu Xuan Son, 83 years old, this is a wonderful art program performed by famous artists, with songs that remind us of the glorious historical periods of the country. It is truly a national concert. The only thing that needs to be commented on is that the female singer should wear the traditional ao dai because this is a program to celebrate National Day. The male singer should not wear a hat when going on stage.

“I like the performance of the soldiers because they are an important part of history. 68 soldiers participating in the parade at Moscow's Red Square also went on stage for the concert. The stage was brilliant, the performances were outstanding. The parade of the soldiers was wonderful,” said Mr. Kieu Xuan Son.

Although watching Live on TV at home, Ms. My Hanh (No. 28, Lane 13, Giai Phong, Hanoi) shared her feelings: "The proud melody and impressive performance of 68 soldiers from the Army Officer School 1, the soldiers who represented the Vietnamese armed forces in the parade celebrating the 80th anniversary of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War at Red Square - Moscow (Russia) last May".

The Vietnamese People's Army marched out to the heroic music of the song Marching Under the Military Flag (Doan Nho) evenly, beautifully, and straightly, creating an atmosphere of pride in the large audience.

Next were the songs “Proud Melody” performed by singer Tung Duong with HT Art Troupe; “Continuing the story of peace” by singer Tung Duong, Xtreme Power group or the medley “Who loves Uncle Ho Chi Minh more than children and teenagers” – Uncle Ho, the one who gives me everything” performed by singer Pham Thu Ha, Sao Tuoi Tho children group, HT Art Troupe… all of which left an impression on a large audience.

All selected musical works, whether timeless songs or contemporary songs, are newly arranged. More than 20 performances combine veteran and young artists such as: People's Artist Thu Huyen, Meritorious Artist Dang Duong, Pham Thu Ha, Tung Duong, Vo Ha Tram, Ha Le, Noo Phuoc Thinh, Toc Tien...

Among them, new arrangements, duets and trios of famous singers create an impressive atmosphere. This not only shows the inheritance but also a message for the journey between tradition and modernity, past and future.

The program also features the participation of outstanding athletes such as Quang Hai, Anh Vien, Le Van Cong, and many other sports figures who have brought glory to the country in international arenas. The presence of these impressive figures will contribute to spreading the spirit of sports, conveying the message of solidarity and national pride.

The program ended with an 8-minute fireworks display at the F1 racetrack with 300 high-altitude fireworks and 60 low-altitude fireworks - ending an unforgettable night, a national symphony of love, faith and the immortal Vietnamese spirit.

The program on the night of August 10 in the capital city is not only a simple art program, but also a patriotic harmony combining music, stage performance, complex art with the depth of history and inspiration of the times, and community emotions.

The program recreated heroic historical pages, honored the sacrifices of generations of fathers and brothers, and conveyed a message of national pride, the spirit of great solidarity, and the aspiration to rise of the Vietnamese people in the new era. From the V-shaped stage design symbolizing "Vietnam - Victory", to sacred images such as the fluttering Red Flag with Yellow Star, the army marching majestically and powerfully, or timeless slices recreating history... all were elaborately staged with the desire to evoke pride, connecting millions of Vietnamese hearts at home and abroad.
