After the merger, the Provincial Women's Union (VWU) has 105 commune-level organizations and affiliated units, with over 721,000 members and women participating in activities. The emulation movements and campaigns of the union are specified in each key task, each stage and time, in accordance with practical conditions and aspirations of the members. The position and role of the union are increasingly affirmed.

According to President of the Provincial Women's Union Truong Thanh Thuy, in recent times, women in the whole province have continuously studied to improve their qualifications in all aspects; united, dynamic, creative, confident in labor, production, study, work, building happy families; actively participating in Party building, participating in State management, increasingly affirming their good qualities, great potential and important role in both family and society.

The Union at all levels has organized many movements and campaigns with practical results, such as the emulation "Women actively study, work creatively, build happy families", "Building Vietnamese women of the new era" associated with promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle; the campaign "Building a family of 5 no's, 3 clean's", "Building a family of 5 yes's, 3 clean's" associated with building new rural areas and civilized urban areas.

Implementing the godmother program, millions of gifts to share love, accompanying women in border areas, the association at all levels mobilized and connected organizations and individuals to join hands, contributing nearly 40 billion VND to help poor women, students, and orphans overcome difficulties.

In addition to taking care of the material and spiritual life of cadres, members and women, the Provincial Women's Union always focuses on building an increasingly strong organization, gradually innovating the content, methods of operation, and directing activities to the grassroots. The work of developing members has achieved many positive results, the rate of gathering and attracting members is increasing, the quality is improved...

New mindset in new period

With the responsibility of a socio- political organization, representing the legitimate rights and interests of women, the Provincial Women's Union clearly defines its position and mission: Together with the entire political system, entering a new era, an era of growth.

The Provincial Women's Union continues to consolidate and build a strong, united, and unified organization, worthy of being a reliable support for members and women, a bridge between Party committees, authorities and members. All levels of the union continue to promote the movement "Building Vietnamese women of the new era" associated with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style, building the image of An Giang women of the new era with knowledge, morality, health, civilization, and friendliness. 100% of grassroots unions launch emulation movements; propagate and support members and women to improve their qualifications, knowledge, and practice the moral qualities of Vietnamese women of the new era, associated with the cultural characteristics and people of An Giang.

“Many activities and models have been built such as “1+1”, “3 have, 3 know”, “Women’s group 4 know”, “Cham women’s group participating in environmental protection”, “Zero-dong Ao Dai wardrobe”, “Member activities on cyberspace”, “Digital transformation support point”… These models not only create a rich living space, connecting members and women, but also spread human values, adding faith, aspiration and positive energy for An Giang women to be more confident and courageous in life”, Ms. Truong Thanh Thuy affirmed.

The association at all levels has strongly responded to the emulation movements "An Giang Women compete in innovation and digital transformation", "Digital education for the masses"... Up to now, the entire association system has over 1,240 social networking sites and 1,109 Zalo groups serving propaganda and information dissemination. Meetings use QR codes instead of paper documents, contributing to modernizing working methods, saving costs and improving leadership and management efficiency.

“Gathering women online helps spread the association’s activities, creating conditions for members to access useful information, exchange experiences and learn from each other. Thanks to the connection through digital platforms, many women have more opportunities to participate in association activities,” said Chairwoman of the Women’s Union of U Minh Thuong Commune, Ha Thi Le Thi.

With the attention of the Party, the State, the support of the organization, and the constant efforts of members and women, the movement and activities of the provincial women's union will have worthy developments.
