Seminar "Research, Development and Management Process of Plant Protection Products"

This afternoon (November 8th), in Hanoi , the Nong Thon Ngay Nay/Dan Viet newspaper, in collaboration with the Plant Protection Department, the CropLife Vietnam Association, and VIPA, organized a series of seminars titled "Understanding Pesticides Correctly" to provide information to help farmers understand and use pesticides more safely and effectively.

In recent years, thanks to training programs from relevant agencies and businesses, farmers' awareness of pesticide use has been increasingly improved. As a result, they use pesticides correctly (for the right target), in the right dosage, at the right time, and in the right way (using the right method), maximizing crop protection while minimizing negative impacts on the environment, ensuring food safety and quality, and meeting the standards of importing markets.

To further promote solutions supporting people in using pesticides safely and effectively, in early 2024, the Plant Protection Department and the CropLife Vietnam Association signed a cooperation plan to implement the "Sustainable Pesticide Management Framework" program in 2024 – marking the first year of realizing the contents of the cooperation framework for this program (2023-2028) between the Plant Protection Department and CropLife Asia. Through this signing, the two sides will promote the application of advanced pesticide solutions; build platforms, provide training and innovate approaches to improve the responsible, safe and effective use of pesticides; and promote communication about the role of pesticides and the application of new solutions in implementing the sustainable pesticide management framework.

To create an impact and enhance information to help farmers understand correctly about pesticides and how to use them safely and effectively, the Nong Thon Ngay Nay/Dan Viet newspaper, in collaboration with the Plant Protection Department, the CropLife Vietnam Association, and the Vietnam Pesticide Manufacturers and Traders Association (VIPA), is organizing a series of seminars on the theme "Understanding Pesticides Correctly". The seminars will be broadcast live on danviet.vn and the digital platforms of Nong Thon Ngay Nay newspaper, as well as the Facebook and YouTube platforms of the CropLife Vietnam Association. The first seminar will focus on: The research, development, and management process of pesticides.
