At the Award Ceremony, the Ministry of Information and Communications coordinated with the units to organize the Gratitude Ceremony to recognize and commend the great contributions of authors, translators, publishers, and bookmakers. At the same time, it recognized the cooperation of businesses supporting the Award and journalists in creating good works and valuable books; constantly promoting and developing the reading culture.
The National Book Award is an annual State-level award to honor books and series of books with outstanding values in terms of ideology, knowledge and aesthetics. The award is not only an event to honor creative values in literature but also a bridge for generations of readers to understand more about cultural values, history and human knowledge. This is an opportunity to honor authors, translators, scientists and publishers, and at the same time promote valuable works to a wide range of readers. In 2024, the Award honored 58 books and series of books that won 59 Awards, including 3 A Awards; 10 B Awards; 21 C Awards; 21 Encouragement Awards and 4 Readers' Favorite Book Awards.

Responding to the annual Book and Reading Culture Day and effectively implementing Resolution No. 09-NQ/DU-NHNo dated May 25, 2022 of the Agribank Party Executive Committee on strengthening leadership, improving the effectiveness of internal communication associated with political and ideological work and building Agribank culture, in order to encourage and develop the reading movement, improve knowledge, professional qualifications and skills among Agribank officials, party members and employees, contributing to encouraging, promoting and replicating good models and effective methods in developing a reading culture, the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of Agribank have directed and guided the branches, affiliated party committees, units in the system, the Trade Union, and the Youth Union of Agribank to research and creatively apply activities to promote the reading movement among officials, party members and employees in order to form a habit of reading, a sense of self-study, self-research, improve professional expertise and apply knowledge from books to life and work. cooperation and learning; integrating reading culture promotion activities with cultural activities of the country, Agribank and the unit.
Community bookshelf - Agribank's initiative to develop reading culture
Implementing the policies and orientations of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors, Agribank has recently deployed the Community Bookcase program in many provinces and cities across the country. The program not only brings books closer to people, especially in remote areas, but also contributes to creating reading habits, expanding knowledge and improving cultural and spiritual life. Agribank's bookcases are arranged at transaction points, public libraries, schools and localities with difficult economic conditions. Through this, Agribank not only gives knowledge but also sends a message of sharing and community connection.
In addition, a series of meaningful and humane social security activities demonstrating investment in the young generation - the future owners of the country - the program "More letters, less poverty" implemented by Agribank since the beginning of 2020 has been bringing practical results, deeply demonstrating the responsibility of a bank for the community. The program's activities have created conditions for students to acquire knowledge, read and study on their own, develop their souls, skills and thinking, adopt modern learning methods, apply information technology in teaching and learning, contribute to building and developing the reading movement in schools, maintaining and developing a reading culture, helping students overcome difficulties and rise up in life. Up to now, after more than 4 years of implementation, Agribank has implemented the program of donating bookcases and learning equipment in 61 provinces and cities nationwide (except Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City) implemented by 85 focal branches, with a total cost of 12.75 billion VND, nearly 200 schools have been supported, equipped with 1,300 computers, 100 bookcases, and equipment such as projectors, large screen TVs, tables and chairs, sound systems, software... to serve teaching and learning.
In order to keep up with the trend in the digital age, Agribank is also actively participating in developing a reading culture based on technology applications through the effective development of the Digital Library model, Podcast "Pocket Tips", social media channels to promptly convey information to all Agribank staff and employees such as Website, Fanpage pages, Yoube, communication groups, propaganda, trade unions, youth unions, training, etc.
In addition, Agribank also carries out many meaningful activities such as sponsoring scholarships, building schools, libraries and educational support programs... with the desire to spread the source of culture and knowledge and permeate it sustainably among all classes of people and the community.
The program "More literacy, less poverty" contributes to realizing the dreams of many children across the country.
Agribank's efforts to promote reading culture over the past time through many meaningful humanitarian activities such as the Program "More letters, less poverty", Community Bookcase and forms of reading culture applying digital technology as well as accompanying major events such as the National Book Awards being implemented by Agribank are contributing to realizing the policy of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of Agribank on developing and implementing corporate culture associated with building the image and brand of Agribank, making the reading movement a habit, promoting reading culture in the digital age, enhancing the effectiveness of internal communication associated with political and ideological work and building Agribank culture; at the same time, strongly spreading the message that Agribank and the community honor knowledge, build an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity, contributing to the sustainable development of the country in the new era.
