This afternoon (December 13), General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan left Hanoi , successfully concluding their state visit to Vietnam from December 12-13 at the invitation of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and his wife, President Vo Van Thuong and his wife.

The visit marks an important milestone, taking place at a time when the two countries celebrate the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership (2008 - 2023).
During his third visit to Vietnam as General Secretary and President of China, Mr. Xi Jinping had many activities, including attending the welcoming ceremony and holding talks with General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, meeting with President Vo Van Thuong, meeting with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, laying wreaths and visiting President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum.

During the visit, on the afternoon of December 12, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong cordially invited General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping to attend a tea party after both leaders listened to an introduction of the 36 documents signed by the two countries on this occasion. Afterwards, General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping and his wife attended a State banquet hosted by Vietnamese leaders.
On the second day, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping met and exchanged with Vietnamese-Chinese friendship figures and young generations, held at the National Convention Center, Hanoi on the morning of December 13.

On the sidelines, on the first day of the visit, Ms. Ngo Thi Man, wife of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and Professor Peng Liyuan, wife of General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping visited the Vietnam Women's Museum. Here, the two ladies toured the museum, enjoyed tea, watched ao dai performance and Vietnamese traditional musical instrument performances.

On the second day, Prof. Peng Liyuan - Wife of the General Secretary and President of China and Wife of the President Phan Thi Thanh Tam had an exchange with students of Hanoi National University.
In the joint statement, Vietnam and China agreed that the State visit to Vietnam by General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping was a great success, marking an important milestone in the history of relations between the two Parties and countries, contributing significantly to promoting the traditional friendship between Vietnam and China, elevating Vietnam-China relations in the new era, and promoting peace, stability and development in the region and the world.
