According to the special correspondent of VNA, within the framework of his official visit to the UK, on ​​the morning of October 30 (local time), in London, General Secretary To Lam met with Mr. Tony Blair, former British Prime Minister and Chairman of the Tony Blair Institute.

General Secretary To Lam highly appreciated Tony Blair's efforts as former British Prime Minister and current Chairman of the Tony Blair Institute; and welcomed the Tony Blair Institute's initiatives and cooperation activities in supporting policy advice, digital transformation, green economic development and enhancing governance capacity in many countries, including Vietnam.

Mr. Tony Blair emphasized that the Tony Blair Institute said that the Institute is ready to support and advise Vietnam on development to avoid falling into the middle-income trap, as suggested by the General Secretary, and is ready to act as a bridge to connect large corporations to invest in the field of science and technology in Vietnam, including Oracle Corporation./.
