General Secretary To Lam expressed his admiration and respect for Bulgaria's great efforts in preserving and promoting its priceless cultural and historical values.

According to the special correspondent of VNA, within the framework of the official visit to the Republic of Bulgaria from October 22-24, 2025, on the evening of October 23 (local time), General Secretary To Lam and his wife and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation visited the Bulgarian National History Museum.

The museum is a special cultural work, preserving and honoring the historical values, traditions and identity of the Bulgarian people over thousands of years.

Also attending were President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev and his wife.

Visiting the Bulgarian National History Museum, General Secretary To Lam shared his feelings about the historical flow of a nation with a rich culture, strong will and brilliant cultural identity, along with the national pride and aspirations of the Bulgarian people through each artifact and each historical mark. Each precious heritage displayed here seems to tell a vivid story about the journey to rise and affirm the Bulgarian national identity in the historical flow of Europe and the world .

The museum is not only a place to preserve the past, but also a source of inspiration for the future for present and future generations, contributing to nurturing patriotism, will and aspiration for development of the Bulgarian people.

The General Secretary expressed his admiration and appreciation for Bulgaria's great efforts in preserving and promoting its invaluable cultural and historical values, including the important contribution and role of the Museum in educating traditions, arousing national pride and inspiring present and future generations.

The General Secretary affirmed that Vietnam always considers culture as the spiritual foundation of society, an important endogenous strength, ensuring the country's sustainable development. With more than 4,000 years of history, Vietnam possesses many tangible and intangible cultural heritages recognized by UNESCO.

Vietnam's museum system such as the National Museum of History, the Museum of Ethnology, the Hanoi Museum, etc. is constantly being upgraded and modernized, aiming to combine conservation, education and international exchange.

The General Secretary hopes that in the coming time, the Bulgarian National History Museum and the national museums of Vietnam will have professional exchange activities, research cooperation, joint exhibitions, etc. and more importantly, promote understanding and friendship between the two peoples and two Asian-European cultures, contributing to connecting and strengthening the relationship between the two peoples and enriching the heritage of human civilization.

The General Secretary emphasized that this visit to Bulgaria, and especially today's visit to the Museum, has left deep impressions of Bulgaria, a country rich in cultural traditions and full of vitality; he believes that mutual understanding and respect for history and culture will be a solid foundation for the increasingly developing friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Bulgaria.

The Bulgarian National History Museum, founded in 1973, is one of the largest and richest historical museums on the Balkan Peninsula. More than 700,000 cultural relics are kept inside, reflecting the history of the lands that are now Bulgaria from about 8,000 years ago to the present day. Highlights include bone and flint tools, idols, jewelry and pottery from prehistoric times, jewelry, coins, decorative ceramics, religious icons, reliquaries...

After visiting the Bulgarian National History Museum, General Secretary To Lam and his wife, along with President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev and his wife, watched an art performance with the participation of the famous Trakia Art Troupe of Bulgaria and artists from Vietnam.

The highlight of the program was the performance of the Trakia Art Troupe, where the audience was able to admire lively and unique dances such as "Thrace Dance," traditional dances from the Shop region through "Ancient Shop Dance," and the exciting dance "Shinitsi."

In particular, Bulgarian children performed the famous children's song in Vietnamese "The whole family loves each other," with pure lyrics and gentle melody, expressing family love.

The art program is also a place where the music of the two countries intersect, with the participation of young Vietnamese artists and talents such as Dao To Loan, Le Giang and Bui Dang Khanh performing famous songs such as "Song of Hope", "Song of Ho Chi Minh" and the participation of People's Artist Bui Cong Duy with the romantic song " Romance" .

The program is a cultural bridge, strengthening the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Bulgaria, while bringing an unforgettable artistic experience to audiences who love the two cultures.

On the same evening, President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev and his wife hosted an official reception for General Secretary To Lam and his wife and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation./.
